Library Hosting Campus Reception for Incoming Dean

The Pacific community is invited to welcome Dean C. Brigid Welch to the University of the Pacific Library at a Celebration Reception on Thursday, June 12 from 3 - 4 pm in the Library Community Room.

New Exhibit on Japanese-American Baseball

Throughout most of the U.S. involvement in World War II, Japanese-Americans were forced from their homes on the West Coast and sent to live in government internment camps. Many internees were avid baseball players and organized teams to play against local groups.

In honor of the start of the baseball season, Holt-Atherton Special Collections Department is presenting a new exhibit on baseball in the internment camps. Located in the lobby, the exhibit features camp newspaper clippings and other documents that help to tell the story of baseball in the camps.

Library Open 24/7 for Finals

It’s finals time again and the Library is your 24/7 friend! Spread the word that the Main Library will be open non-stop from Sunday May 4 at 11 am through Friday May 9 at 7 pm, and then again from Sunday May 11 at 11 am through Wednesday May 14 at 11 pm.
