Looking to build your library of classical music?

Every two weeks Alexander Street Press makes a new piece of classical music available as a free mp3 download from the Classical Music Library, one of the library’s primary online music resources.

There’s nothing to sign up for, nothing to pay, just free music!

Oh yeah, the URL for the free tunes: http://musicdownloads.alexanderstreet.com/promo/

Enjoy!

New Martin Gallery Opened

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

Pacific Visual Arts major Rachel Rajala has opened the library’s new Martin Gallery with an exhibition of anime/manga-style drawings.

The gallery is located on the second floor of the library in the large new study room behind the old Music/AV area.

Rachel describes the exhibition:

“”Live Again” is both the title of this exhibition and the Manga novel I am currently writing. I have loved Manga-style graphic novels for years now and I decided to finally write one myself. The works in this show are just a sample of the story I have created and are primarily the designs for some of my story’s main characters. My Manga novel, Live Again, is a fantasy/romance story with the vampire legend as one of its main themes. With luck I hope to have the first installment into a publisher by the end of the year. Wish me luck!”
