New Lobby Exhibit: Stockton’s Insane Asylum

“The World We Made: Stockton’s Insane Asylum” uses materials from the Holt-Atherton Special Collections to document the history, location, and patients of the State Hospital from the Gold Rush days to the present. The exhibit also addresses the location of other facilities in Stockton and the real story behind Pacific’s infirmary.

The exhibit is located in the lobby on the main floor of the library.

Library Multimedia Studio Arrives

After several weeks of set-up and fine tuning, the library’s newest student resource is open for business. The Library Multimedia Studio is located on the main floor of the library, next to the Information Commons. Its six brand-new workstations provide the Pacific community with specialized computer software and hardware for the completion of multimedia-infused projects. Sanji Muto Room Dedicated

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

In an afternoon ceremony and reception on November 1, the library named a group study room for Sanji Muto, a Japanese businessman and politician who studied at Pacific in the 1880s. The Sanji Muto Room is on the first floor of the library, near the circulation desk.
